Note about flight to Maroantsetra/Masoala: Charter flight to Masoala Forest Lodge only operates on a Wednesday and Sunday. Therefore you can stay either 3, 4 or 7 nights here. Or there is a regular flight on Monday and Friday – in which case alternative lodge accommodation at Dounia is used.

In the North you have 2 options:
- Masoala Forest Lodge, is famous for a totally immersive natural experience due to it’s wildlife-rich location in a remote and densely forested peninsula. It is reached by charter flight on Wednesday and Sunday.
- Alternatively stay for 2 nights at Dounia Forest Lodge and 1 night in Maroantsetra using the scheduled flight on a Monday or Friday. Both will allow you to experience the incredible pristine rainforest of Masoala.
