The historic cape dutch manor house and cottages offer elegant, comfortable and cosy accommodation and date back to when the first vines were planted over 300 years ago.

Gardeners and foodies will delight in the extensive kitchen gardens. Here, delicious fresh food is picked and prepared by talented chefs, with distinct flavours depending on the season. You can join in the harvesting, view the olive groves and production, visit the Spice House, and tour the vineyards and winery with a 9 tasting cellar experience.

Meals are taken in the Italian inspired Bakery, the plant filled Greenhouse Restaurant (daytime) or the iconic world-renowned Babel restaurant (advance booking from 9 months prior and seriously advised). Ask about timing your visit with one of the famous Carnivore evenings with 5 course menu celebrating the South African braai, accompanied by Babel red wine and dessert.

Activities include: guided walks, canoeing and fly fishing at the dam, cycling around the farm trails, and the spa has recently been extended with sauna, salt room, steam room and heated pool. There are private yoga sessions on request. Foodies will love the early morning harvest, bread baking and the cellar tour.

The farm is committed to improving sustainability, using mainly solar power, recycling packaging materials and encouraging bees and other pollinating insects.

Couples seeking a romantic getaway should stay in the original Farmhouse with the option of a beautiful honeymoon suite. Families will love the cosy 2 bedroom cottages or larger families can book the spacious 5 bedroom houses with own kitchen, lounge, private pool and courtyard.
