Stay in a unique luxury villa in the malaria free Welgevonden Private Reserve. The reserve has a number of accommodation options which we can offer to visitors but for groups and families the rather unique Matomo Lodge offers a fantastic solution, with no fixed timetable so you can do as you wish.

Your own accredited safari guide will take you out on game drives in 4 x 4 open sided vehicles to view the huge range of African wildlife -including the infamous Big Five. The reserve is not open to day visitors and your villa sits in a stunning location overlooking a dam to which animals come and drink by day and night.

The villa has six luxury en-suite bedrooms and can sleep 10 (12 on request). Just 3 hours from Johannesburg Airport or a short helicopter ride, you can arrive on an early flight and be game viewing by lunchtime.

Relax by the heated outdoor pool, and enjoy Swedish massages while not out on safari.

At night enjoy delicious meals and gather round the outdoor fireplace and bbq for a traditional braai.
